I’ve had the two best years of my life so far at UEA. The campus has everything you need, there are lots of nice spaces to be and it has a certain charm that is hard to describe. They have a wide range of sports clubs and societies to join, being part of the tennis club has been one of the highlights of my uni experience. The quality of teaching is generally pretty good, and the workload is manageable apart from a few hectic months at the end of the semesters. Each student has an academic advisor, which is a very useful thing to have, and he helped me a lot when I wanted to change my course.

It’s (I think) quite a small uni which I love because you always bump into people you know..obviously there’s still thousands of people you don’t know so it’s not weird. There is an amazing community feel with EVERYONE going to the campus club on Saturday..there are clubs in town that everyone goes to in the week. The societies are great and the nightlife is more about the people…I come from a big city and would say I was underwhelmed by the nights out at first but have now found people that make every night out hilarious and nuts so now go out about 5x a week. Would say in general everyone’s v friendly. Campus gym is quite a peak, quite small and always busy. The campus is SO UGLY BUT SO BEAUTIFUL - the buildings are so ugly and concrete but the lake and the grounds are honestly amazing and wonderful to spend time there during the summer

I’ve loved my time at UEA. Medium-sized campus meaning there’s plenty to do but only takes about 20-30 mins to walk from one side to the other. A wide range of courses - I study science and have access to high tech labs and top researchers. Staff care about students and have time for individuals. Most faculties have good facilities. Norwich is a lovely, student-friendly city - again, it’s medium-sized. Enough to do (plenty of restaurants, clubs and activities) but all areas are easily accessible and it feels safe.
