It is a world class university who offers great teaching and resources. The laboratory facilities are amazing and really help aid study. The links to industry are excellent and it is relatively easy to contact renowned facilities through careers fairs.

I study biochemistry at Imperial and I would say that the course has been fantastic so far. The learning experience that this university provides is really exceptional. Although there has been a lot of challenges including independent research work that I had to complete in my penultimate and final years, everyone had helped me get through this. Imperial also has a good employment rate as the standard for the academics is high which is viewed favourably by many employers. A high number of students who obtain a degree at Imperial secure their graduate and internship positions at most Fortune 500 companies. Therefore, this uni is not only great for a learning experience but also to build a good network.

I think this university not only values their students academic development, but also their personal development. They focus on building personal skills such as interpersonal skills, time management, communication and teamwork skills, preparing them to enter the real world. They are also very keen to help out students in need and pay attention to mental health. Imperial always stays up to date with current technology and likes to be on the front lines, and it makes me really proud to be in a university like this.

Being at the heart of London, ICL not only offers access to world-class facilities but provides students with many opportunities that they may not be afforded elsewhere. There are countless societies run by the diverse student body and there is an irrefutable sense of drive and passion for both the academic and social aspects of university life from both students and lecturers alike.

The staff and students are driven and extremely clever, making it a fast-paced learning environment. The professors are amazing but the only aspect lacking is student well-being, which has started this year. It's an extremely hard course but worth it, as the job prospects and connections are very good.

I would say the course is well-delivered with clear goals and advice for further readings. The lecturers are all approachable and very knowledgable in their own field by doing cutting-edge researches. Other than lectures, we also have tutorials, problem classes and laboratory sessions during the term. The tutorials and problem classes are usually quite challenging and it is fine if you don't know the answers. With over 50% of international students in my course, I am exposed to a wide range of culture and can make friends all over the world! The college offers a great mixture of lectures, focused tutorials, and lab experiences to provide you with a deep and insightful learning experiences. The campus is full of amazing facilities which you can take full use of through participation in its various clubs and societies and individiual research.

Overall the university and the staff are of a high quality and have offered my support through my years here. My academic experience is significantly related to the chosen course which was a new one at time I joined. This has caused many problems regarding the administrative and organisational aspect of the course, despite very interesting and engaging contents. Apart from the academic side, I enjoyed my time at the university a lot, joining societies and making friends.

Imperial is a high intensity learning environment where students are expected to take initiative for their own learning. Because of this, there is a large emphasis on independent reading beyond the syllabus in addition to maintaining a firm grasp on the core lecture material. This makes Imperial a challenging but rewarding environment when success ensues. Students will feel that they have a comprehensive awareness of any topic in their area of specialism and can talk about many subjects with authority. This makes Imperial a world-class institution and prepares the students exceptionally well for life after university.
