It offers a broad range of master’s and bachelor’s degree programs in English and 20% of the student body is made up of international students. Our bachelor degrees in Engineering have been awarded the EUR-ACE quality certificate. Hello, I am Pablo and I am 19 years old. I would like to comment my experiences in the university in order to help you if you haven't decided your university yet. First of all, you don't have to be afraid of leaving your city and you have to be determined and make a decision. That was my case. I was a 17 year old student that had to choose between staying in my city or leaving (my preferred option) and I chose the second one. No regrets at this point. Now, i am going to talk about the university. Carlos III University is very impressive at first sight. It is a huge change in comparison to high school. The atmosphere is diferent and you are the younger boy again. The first days can be very difficult because you miss your parents and your comfort zone. My recommendation is that you should go to a student's residence. There are two of them close to the university so they are the perfect place to meet new people and have a group quickly. Don't be shy. People are in the same situacion as you are in the first days so you have to be very open and nice. Now, I am going to talk about my degree. I am doing a double degree of Law and Economics and I am completing my Second Course. It is not an easy degree and I don't exaggerate if I say that it is one of the most difficult degrees in the whole university. However, if you are a hard working person, you don't have anything to worry about because you are going to pass all the exams. In my opinion it is difficult to get good marks but it is not very difficult to pass the subjets. Well, I hope my advises help you and good luck. Pablo

The university has a good Erasmus and International program, so even in our first year we already have classes with international students. The library facilities are really nice, and the cafeteria is alright, although it could open until the classes of the evening shift end, instead of closing before. I have not seen the Getafe campus, but I have heard that the library is pretty nice. My career is Audiovisual Systems Engineering, which is a branch of the Telecommunication Engineering, and my campus is the one located in Leganés.

I studied a master here at UC3M and I liked the quality of the lecturers. However, it is very common to have exams and I do not feel it is necessary in such academic level. I would recommend it though.

Beautiful campus, old but modern architecture. Very lively university, and lots of activities organized for students in exchange. In general teachers are young and have great experiences to share. Every classes are separate into 1/2 theorical, 1/2 pratical with diferent teachers, which means that you have the double amount of work. But i find the methodology good, with lots of interaction between teachers and students. In contrary, I think there is no enough follow up for students in exchange, teachers or the international board do not pay much attention to them. Timetables are ok, between 15 and 20 hours of class per week, but lots of personal work on the side. Finaly, long process for accommodation, you should book it very early. In general I will recomande it 100%, for the quality and the location.

It is a university with fantastic facilities. The staff and people in charge of administering your studies are very responsible. The content of knowledge is fine. Teachers are involved in teaching the subject correctly. The only failure would be the few possibilities in the university employment exchange to find internships. On the other hand, they have many agreements and agreements with other universities.

Carlos III University of Madrid is one of the youngest universities in Spain. I would say that's one of its top qualities: the buildings, equipment and supplies from the laboratories is quite new. I would also like to highlight the faculty's age: having younger professors sometimes makes it easier, as they tend to understand better the issues you might face as a student. Overall, I would recommend the university to people on the engineering field, but you have to take into account that this university will require a lot of work outside classes' hours.

Despite how they sell and the interesting personalities that teach the class, it really does not offer anything offered by other universities. As for the branch of audiovisual communication, cinema, etc. (Campus de Toledo), the campus does not have material. It does not provide facilities for classroom practices. The teachers on staff are very average, nothing remarkable. The media professionals who teach are very interesting, but these qualifications only serve to learn theory (something that can be learned on your own) instead of putting it into practice, opening a door to the professional world or simply making contacts. The system of practices is inefficient. The university does not have as many agreements as it sells, nor does it have the strength to do or demand a minimum of conditions as other universities do. In conclusion, it is not a bad university, but neither is it, as seen from the outside, superior in anything. Study here only if it catches you closer to home than others.
