Hello everybody. In the distant 80's I studied at this university. I remember a lot of course, she memorized student life for the rest of her life. At the university, everything was simply done for students. Starting from the training part and ending with various competitions, sports days, trips to the sea. To this day I communicate with many teachers of my department. I am very glad that I studied here!

Finished TPU four years ago, now continues in his own chair for the dissertation. Thus, I have been connected with the University for almost ten years. During this time, felt only pride for what TPU is continuously increases your level, preparing graduates of the highest qualification. Teachers are all understanding and friendly, they communicate with students without excessive pride, and without exaggeration we can say that each Department is not just colleagues, it is a family. In addition, there are ample opportunities for self-realization of students and teachers-regularly held various competitions, competitions, etc.

During my 3 days trip in Tomsk, for Young Vision Award Competition of Wintershall and Gazprom, I had the opportunity to meet with two professors, to visit the Petroleum, Mining and Geology Department and also to spend my free time in the city. The facilities of the petroleum department are outstanding. Students are training with the latest softwares for every discipline of petroleum engineering and every year there is a special competition in the university for Master Students, to find the best ones and to recommend them to Oil and Gas Companies for Graduate Program. The Mining and Geology Department is one of the best in Russia since there was a huge mining activity in the area for more than 200 years. The department has a big exhibition in the entrance of the hall with a variety of minerals from all around the world. One of the professor said that <>. Tomsk has a history if space exploration and engineering since in the past University was in charge for many space research projects. As for the city, I have to say only the best. The people are really nice and kind and you can feel the hospitality of Russia. Just a small recommendation! Dress good because in winter time it might have temperatures of - 20 C.

TPU is a prestigious polytechnic university in the city of Tomsk, and at the current prices, inexpensive. I entered the paid economic department in 2006 for 4 years, since before that I graduated from college in economic speciality, where I studied for 3 years. It's easy to do, you do not solve complex tests for school subjects. Enrolled in the speciality "Economist - Manager (in Mechanical Engineering)". Unfair attitudes toward students are present, as in many other higher education institutions. I teach, "I bite" till midnight, on the exam I get a weak "4". Another student - walked all night, sat - cheered the teacher and also "4". At first, everything went well, the further, the more difficult. Items begin: technology of machine-building production, welding production, automation of processes in machine building, and the like. In general, everyone has a hard time. Before each examination, a compulsory collection of funds for the teacher's gift (coffee, candy, cognac, flowers). Before the test is not always, at the discretion of the group. Once they thought they would take the exam, a teacher like that was not demanding, they did not buy anything for him. As a result: four "4", the remaining "3" (in the group of 16 people). The whole group decided not to take anymore so! They got used to the "packets", they were diluted by the students themselves. In general, an excellent university, the sessions were not bored. Now I work as an economist, though not in engineering, but in a budgetary institution.
