Not as bad as I was told. Merchiston campus is full with locals, which could be an advantage depending on the point of view. Some teachers are awesome while others are pretty strange.. The university organisation was a mess in my 3rd year, but hey life is mess as well, so the plus is learned sabotaging skills, better productivity when stuffed with tasks and stress tollerance. I d recommend the university to people that are optimists, not super sensitive to unexpected situations and loving challenges.

I studied Mechanical engineering at merchiston campus for 4 years. There is a lot of different parts to 4 years of experience but this is some of my main ones: 1: Ensa advice is great!! Do be not afraid to ask for help, they are so good at what they do. 2: Ensa student borad could use less drama. 3: Some teachers are amazing, some less good. However you will find this to be the case at any place of learning. 4: My course had a lot of problems in third year.. and it took a lot of effort from all the students to get it back on track. This was promised to us that it wouldn't affect further courses. 5: Over all I loved my university experience and I learned a lot inside and outside of class!

Having studied. Energy and Environmental Engineering at Napier for 4 years I can say that the University has a lot of great qualities such as ENSA which helped me through many difficulties both financially and academically aswell as some personal issues ENSA's staff and very friendly and their advisors are very knowledgeable. The Jack Kilby computer centre, which is open 24/7, where you'll always find a place to get coursework done. The course was difficult (as it should be) but some staff in the Uni were more than willing to give help where it was needed as well as making the subjects very interesting, Maths Plus was a major help for myself. Although you will get your boring subjects and lectures, as with any University most lecturers are very apoarachable and will take into consideration student opinions. There is some bad though, The university faced some major management issues last year and it directly affected some of our studies and there are times and coursework not being marked properly or on time. As mentioned before some of the staff are very approachable and willing to help although some aren't. All in all my experience at Napier was very good and I met many good friends whilst studying there, and other students there made the student experience great.

This university is welcoming and continually helpful by staff and pupils. I would recommend this university to new students. The law degree I am currently studying is exactly what I expected and is also very enjoyable.

Studying at sighthill was a bit of a hassle most days just due to travel. The building was lovely and easy to get around though. But to be honest the best part was the breakfast rolls in the mornings ?
