MSci Mathematics with Education

Mathematics at Imperial aims to present a wide range of mathematical ideas in a way that develops your critical and intellectual abilities. The MSci Mathematics with Education course allows you to gain Qualified Teacher Status alongside your mathematics degree by completing teaching placements organised by Canterbury Christ Church University. This enables you to teach mathematics in secondary schools in England and Wales as a Newly Qualified Teacher after you graduate. In your final year you will take a mixture of core teaching modules and advanced mathematical modules, as well as completing teacher training placements in schools.
