The BA programme in philosophy teaches you to question what many people take for granted. You learn how to reduce complex problems to their essence, and you learn to analyse and comprehend challenging philosophical argumentation. The courses you follow as a BA philosophy student are based on lectures, classroom instruction and work in your study group. You work with the Western philosophical tradition through your readings of classical and contemporary texts on topics such as ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, philosophical anthropology and political philosophy.
