Studies of Mathematics at the University enable students to experience the depth and breadth of the field of mathematics. At the Mathematics teaching program there are about 30 permanent members of faculty, many of them renowned worldwide in their field. Their areas of activity cover most aspects of modern mathematics, from Number Theory and Algebra to Probability and Applied Mathematics, from Geometry to Logic and Foundations of Mathematics. Graduates of the Mathematics teaching program are in great demand as students for advanced degrees in the various fields of academic studies, for senior positions in the high-tech industry and the economy. Study of Mathematics as a teaching program in an extended scope is particularly suitable for students who intend to continue studying Mathematics for advanced degrees.
