BA Musicology

In research and teaching, the profile of the Heidelberg Musicology Department encompasses the entire history of music in Europe and cultures influenced by Europe from antiquity to the present, with special reference to music theory and analysis, the history of composition and notation, instrumental studies and history of interpretation, history of genres and institutions, and aesthetics and reception.
