Description
The Art History program encourages students to analyze art within many contexts, including historical, intellectual, political, social, and stylistic. In addition to examining diverse methodologies, introductory and upper division courses cover artistic production from a wide range of cultures and periods. A wide range of topics are taught including Western art and architecture Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Contemporary and the art and architecture of Asia and the Americas (Colonial, Indian, Pre-Columbian, and Post-Colonial).
