QU Law offers a PhD in Law Program (PhD), which is an expansion of the graduate programs offered by the College of Law. After successfully passing the graduation requirements, the researcher is granted a Ph.D. in Law, 3 years after starting the study, which begins in the Fall semester of each academic each year.
All applicants to the PhD in Law program who meet the following minimum criteria will be considered for admission to Qatar University:
Completed a Master’s of Laws degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 out of 4.0 from a university accredited by an international accrediting association or by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education or equivalent authority in that country.
Submitting Personal Statement in which the applicant shows the interest in applying for the program and why should be admitted.
Passing the personal interview by the College of Law.
For the International Law track only: Achieved a minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS (Academic) or 79 in TOEFL iBT, taken within 2 years of the start of the intended semester of admission OR earned a previous degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a Program where English was the language of instruction by 100%.
