Master in Geography: Culture, Environment and Tourism

With the accredited master’s degree in Geography: Culture, Environment and Tourism, the University of Passau offers you a degree that is unique in Germany in this combination: Combine geography, regional and tourism research with a specialization in one of five cultural areas as well as a freely selectable foreign language. The basis of the course is made up of cultural, social and environmental geographic and economic content. Another essential component of the course is a stay abroad of at least one month, which can be completed in the form of an independent research project or as an internship. The master’s program enables you to to successfully deal with complex geographical issues - be it in urban and regional development or in tourism - using integrative and interdisciplinary approaches. The imparting of specific regional knowledge and intercultural skills rounds off the research and practice-related content of the course.
