Description
The EEIGM trains European engineers specializing in materials engineering, which requires solid generalist engineering training and reinforced language teaching. The EEIGM is the only training in France that combines scientific excellence and multilingualism.
Six European universities have joined forces to offer each student a unique course: the University of Lorraine, the University of Saarbrücken (Germany), the Technological University of Luleå (Sweden), the Polytechnic University of Barcelona (Spain), Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), and MIsIs Moscow University of Science and Technology (Russia).
During the first 4 semesters, students mainly study mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, mechanics, materials science, 4 languages (French, English, German, Spanish). In addition, they complete an English-speaking internship (4 to 8 weeks) and a worker internship (4 to 8 weeks).
The following 6 semesters, of which at least 2 are spent abroad, give the student the technical knowledge necessary for his future profession; in addition, courses in project management, financial management, quality and communication are also on the program.
Professionals from the economic world are regularly involved in various fields (security, intellectual property, welding, brazing, assemblies, etc.). Collaborative work is organized around projects directly related to the business world. Active partnerships (student exchanges) exist with universities in Morocco, Tunisia, China, Brazil and Japan. Several large French companies with an international vocation sponsor the recruitment of foreign students of excellence so that they are trained in the French way at the EEIGM and can then work in their subsidiaries abroad.
