DOCTORAL PROGRAM: Materials Science and Technology

At the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Barcelona, several officially recognised research groups belonging to different departments carry out their scientific work in the area of materials science and technology. Their potential and extensive experience in this field have been recognised over the years, and also in a previous doctoral program with quality awards. All this led to an overhaul of this former program, updating it to respond to both scientific and technological issues in this area. Thus, the main objective of this program is the acquisition of knowledge and skills in materials science and technology, from design and production to characterization and applications, as well as the cross-skills needed in order to train high-level researchers and professionals for research and also for industry.
