In our bachelor's degree programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Technical University of Dortmund, the entire spectrum of electrical engineering and information technology is taught in a research-oriented manner.
At the beginning of the six-semester bachelor's degree, technical basics are acquired, which are consolidated in exercises and applied in practical work-related experiments.

Towards the end of the course, there is a deepening of the basics or specialization in a major. Important practical experience is gained in the course-integrated, twelve-week industrial internship.
A master’s degree in electrical engineering and information technology should be directly linked to a successful bachelor’s degree in the ETIT or ICT degree programs. Deepening in one of four possible areas of focus meets the industrial requirement for specialization without losing sight of the broad overall qualification and enables entry into a career in science.
