The colleges became part of the University of London in 1900 and after becoming co-educational in 1965 the two colleges merged in 1985 to become Royal Holloway, University of London.
The university is set on a 135 acre campus, which is located in Egham, Surrey, 40 minutes south west of central London and just 7 miles from Heathrow airport.
