HSE University (National Research University Higher School of Economics) is a young, dynamic university and one of most prestigious institutions of higher education in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. In just over two decades since it was established in 1992, it has grown from a specialised institution focused on social and economic sciences to a comprehensive university engaged in multidisciplinary research, international cooperation and digital education. With more than 40,000 students on four campuses in Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm, HSE University is one of the largest universities in Russia. HSE offers high-quality education at all levels – from a lyceum for school students to postgraduate and MBA programmes. HSE University operates more than 100 research institutes and centres, and about 40 international laboratories are led by internationally renowned scholars, including Nobel laureate Eric Maskin and Fields Medal laureate Andrey Okunkov.
