History BA

Historians inform modern discussions about the future of science and technology, medicine and public health, politics, society, culture, gender, race, war, and diplomacy. Students majoring in history prepare for a careers in law, public policy, government, education, business, and many other fields as well as graduate studies. Students in history, acquire skills in how to research, read critically, write effectively, communicate verbally, and sharpen their sense of judgment that will serve them well now and in the future. History students have the opportunity to take honors courses, study abroad, complete internships and research projects, and learn from 36 award-winning faculty in over 156 courses.
