BS Health Education

This course is designed to acquaint the student with the essentials of effective living. It deals with personal health problems and corrective and protective services in the community. Surveys of community problems are made in order to integrate individual health problems with community services. This course is designed to provide the student with a framework of knowledge of the concepts in health education and community health education. This course provides an overview of the organization, role and structure of community health agencies with specific emphasis in health education services. It also includes an examination of the roles and responsibilities of health education professionals.
