You ll develop a wide range of knowledge in contemporary sociological theory and practice, exploring topics from urban sociology and gender and society, to criminality and globalisation. Professional experience is crucial, so you ll complete two professional work placements as part of your degree. We ll work with you to match you with one of our employer partners, or we ll support you in finding your own placement. Employers frequently praise the eye for detail and critical thinking skills of Sociology graduates, as well as the transferable skills that they develop. By the time you graduate, we aim to make you a confident, articulate, knowledgeable and critical graduate ready for a wide range of graduate roles.
