The bachelor knows the basic concepts and the main theoretical schools in sociology and can explain how these have developed historically. The bachelor knows the central questions in certain subdomains in sociology. The bachelor has an introductory knowledge of and insight in adjoining disciplines: philosophy, history, psychology, economics, law. The bachelor has knowledge of and insight in causes, effects and interrelatedness of the main social developments in modern societies.The bachelor knows the main characteristics of the Flemish, Belgian and European social and institutional context and can explain the most important social questions that manifest themselves in it.
