BA Human Services

Majors in Elmira College's Human Services program may fulfill the requirements for either the General Human Services degree or also the Human Services degree with specialization. Human Service specializations include: Correctional Services and Early Childhood Services. Those completing this major are prepared either to pursue careers in social service agencies or to seek graduate study; it is an excellent preparation for seeking a Master's in Social Work, for example. The Human Services major is interdisciplinary, including study in such related fields as Psychology, Sociology, and sometimes Criminal Justice. Many of the higher-achieving HMS majors choose to double major.
