The Bachelor of Social Science is a flexible degree built on three key social science areas; sociology, economics, and political science with a broader study of law and history. You will focus on a major in sociology and social policy which allows you to explore the contemporary social worlds of society today. You may also choose to include elective units from other disciplines within the university such as economics, political science or psychology. Students will acquire the full range of generic skills and attributes as per the UC policy date.Students will be able to apply an in depth understanding of Social Science in Australia and internationally in order to understand the complexities of social science in contemporary times and develop timely solutions to key issues that emerge in contemporary social science.
