At TWU, the political studies program embraces both the social science and humanities aspects of political analysis. Majors in Political Studies explore how governments are organized and how they influence the distribution of social and economic resources. In addition, students develop an understanding of government institutions, legislative processes, foreign policy, international relations, and public law. This program also provides the opportunity to study at the Laurentian Leadership Centre, located a few blocks away from Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Several courses are offered regularly at our Ottawa campus. Political practica are included in the degree, and Political Studies majors have multiple opportunities to participate in political clubs on campus, model United Nations, or in internships abroad.
