The six-semester study in the 1-subject Bachelor Geography with the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) imparts basic knowledge in the field of physical geography, anthropogeography and specific specialist methods such as terrain and laboratory methods, environmental modeling, quantitative and qualitative social research, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. By teaching, applying and reflecting on these subject areas, the study of geography enables students to work independently, to analyze and critically evaluate scientific findings, to apply scientific working methods in a goal-oriented manner, and to work on spatial processes and problems, taking particular account of their social and scientific aspects
