BA in Economics

The B.A. in Economics provides a strong foundation in economic analysis and quantitative methods. The curriculum's breadth incorporates the study of political, historical, and social institutions so that students may use the economic toolkit to address the current challenges humanity faces. Built into the degree is the opportunity to study political, historical, cultural, and social institutions from other CMU departments; these courses are referred to as Special Electives .
