Minor in Exceptional Child

The curriculum provides a solid foundation in development and learning theory, as well as instructional strategies in content areas including language and literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, physical activity and creative arts. When combined with the special education curriculum, teacher candidates in the early childhood program will be eligible for dual certification. Throughout the United States, there is an increased need for special education and English as a Second Language teachers.
