The course is designed so that in addition to taking core modules you can specialize in Business Management, Land/Estate Management or Countryside and Environmental Management. Alternatively you can take a mixture of subjects to suit your interests. Between years two and three you may take a sandwich year gaining further work experience if you wish to. In the final year, you will follow modules that have been designed to complete your understanding of business and countryside planning as well as undertaking a project designed to develop your expertise on a subject of your choice, presented as a dissertation. Topics chosen by previous students include: management options for a National Trust Estate; diversification opportunities; trout river management and the local economy; environmental stewardship schemes.
