Bachelors in Biology

The BA degree is a more general degree than the BS. It is a liberal arts degree designed for those students who desire a broad education in a variety of disciplines. This degree requires more foreign language and social science and/or humanities courses than the B.S. degree. There are also more hours of free electives that can be used to tailor a program to fit individual needs, desires, and interests. Students in this program can select a variety of electives in order to acquire a broad base in biology; alternatively, they can choose biology classes from areas of interest, giving them a more narrowly focused degree.
