BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology

Current research questions in biochemistry and molecular biology deal with the structure and function of proteins and protein complexes, RNA and other biomolecules. The goal is to understand the mechanisms and regulation of biological processes at the molecular level. To achieve this, a variety of different methodological approaches and model systems are used. In addition, biochemistry and molecular biology also deals with the molecular basis of diseases and thus contributes to their prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
