A broadly-based education in the liberal arts and sciences is great preparation for a career in the law. Thus, completing any major at Elmira College will prepare the prospective attorney for success; it is important to emphasize on one's choice of courses those that stress strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. It is also important to pursue challenging subjects that require one to think hard and to examine and interpret hard problems.
