Philosophy allows us to take distance from everyday reality to see it in a broader framework of reflection, seeking to understand the patterns and causes that shape it. Philosophy combines tools from multiple disciplines (such as logic, history, anthropology and sociology) to seek a more complete understanding of the various aspects of reality. A person with philosophical training is able to ask good questions (and evaluate the quality of the answers) about the ontological, epistemological, aesthetic, ethical and political spheres of our reality.
