BA Philosophy and Religion

Philosophy and religion majors at Elmira College learn how to grapple with questions about these issues as well as the basis of reality and the nature of knowledge. They also work with more concrete questions, such as those concerning the nature of just political arrangements, beautiful artworks, the role of religion in society, and the good life. In addition, students learn how to think critically about themselves as individuals and as members of a diverse society.
