BSc Quantitative Biology and Disease Modelling

Using quantitative biology, the different parts of a biological system can be integrated into a manageable mathematical computer model. Computer models of biological systems make it possible to understand how complex diseases in humans and animals arise, develop, and are treated. Examples include cancer, diabetes, and neurological and immunological diseases such as Alzheimer s disease and allergies.
