Description
Public health science is about ensuring and improving public health. You are trained not as a practitioner, but rather to work with public health in the broadest sense. Public health science builds on disciplines from the social sciences, the humanities and the natural sciences. You work with political, social and economic approaches to improving the health of populations and population groups. At Public Health Science, the teaching takes the form of lectures, practical exercises, work in study groups and independent study. As a public health science undergraduate, you will learn to analyse issues within healthcare and to process large volumes of public health data. You will also learn to communicate the results of surveys and studies and make them understandable for relevant target groups.
