Bachelor of Human Medicine

The study of medicine is a federally regulated structured university education of six years (three years of bachelor's degree and three years of master's degree). All six academic years are offered at the Universities of Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Geneva and Zurich. The bachelor program can also be completed at the University of Freiburg. After successfully completing six academic years of medicine, the Swiss Federal Examination of Human Medicine must be taken in accordance with the Medizinalberufegesetz MedBG.
