BS Horticultural Sciences

Horticulture is the science and art of growing (plants) fruits, vegetables, flowers, and any other cultivar. It also includes plant conservation, landscape restoration, soil management, landscape and garden design, construction, and maintenance, and arboriculture. The course provides a basic understanding of the world fruit and vegetable industry. Emphasizes world, U.S. and Florida production regions, biology, soils, nutrition, terminology, types of fruits and vegetables, site selection and more.
