BSc Hons Biomedicine with Data Science

As technologies have advanced within the Biosciences, the generation of large data sets ( Big Data ) has brought new challenges in data processing and analysis; in the field of health care, ever-more comprehensive data is being collated from patients, both as individuals and as whole cohorts. Our Biomedicine with Data Science degree will produce graduates with the unique set of knowledge and skills to capitalise on the advances already being made in data generation and collection, and will give them a competitive edge in this emerging jobs market.The degree is part of Surrey s pioneering Innovation for Health programme, designed to bring together computer, data and health scientists to meet the challenges of an ageing population and changing patterns of disease, developing technologies that will facilitate improvements in healthcare.
