More details about the program

Description

A condition that sustains the structure, composition, processes, function, productivity, and resilience of forest ecosystems over time and space. An assessment of this condition is based on the current state of knowledge and can be influenced by human needs, cultural values, and land management objectives. Forest composition refers to the identity and frequency of plant species found in a stand or landscape, including grass, forbs, shrubs, and trees. In other words, it is the entire plant community of the forest (Moore, 2004). Forest composition, directly or indirectly, affects all other biota present.
