Language and speech involve auditory, visual, cognitive, orofacial, respiratory, swallowing, vocal, and tubal functions. The alterations of these functions in some people cause different disorders that hinder, when they do not impede, their communication and therefore their social reintegration. Others affect the normal course of children's development and consequently their school and social success.
