The school has built strong ties with the provincial government since 2013 when Nanjing University signed the Collaborative Agreement on Building the School of Journalism and Communication with the Publicity Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee. To become a top journalism and communication school in China and the region, the school has three objectives. First, it will continue to meet with the demand in China for well-trained personnel to staff the media industry.
