The University provides a range of core practical modules designed to produce leading multimedia journalists. We help develop real-world skills in students so that their journalism is informed by a balanced sense of justice, fairness and life-experience. This programme includes modules in broadcast journalism (radio and TV), feature writing, interviewing and reporting, magazine layout and design, sports journalism, social media and writing for new media. Journalism students in UL work on a number of team projects, which include the production of an awarding winning local newspaper and news website called The Limerick Voice and radio and TV bulletins, produced in our state-of-the-art newsroom, TV and radio studios.
