BA in Philosophy

Philosophy is an intellectual challenge. As a philosopher, you ask critical questions about the foundations and boundaries of our knowledge and reflect on all sorts of cultural phenomena. Philosophy does not have a clearly defined, specific 'field' and does not concern itself with a specific part of reality. It does not impose any restrictions in this sense. With Philosophy in Leiden you therefore make intensive and high-level knowledge of Western, academic philosophy, of the past and present, in which you compare it with other non-Western ways of thinking.
