BA American Studies

The undergraduate major encourages innovative, non-traditional scholarship; it also requires a substantial foundation of knowledge of the United States from local, national, and global perspectives. Each student chooses one of five areas of concentration: national formations; the international United States; material cultures and built environments; politics and American communities; and visual, audio, literary, and performance cultures.
