BA History

The department of History at NTU, established in 1928, is Taiwan s oldest institution of historical teaching and research. The Department is renowned for its excellent scholarship in Chinese history, world history and the history of Taiwan. It provides programs for both undergraduate instruction and postgraduate studies. Full-time faculty numbers around 30, offering an abundant and diverse range of history courses for students to choose. Students of the Department are required to study both specialized historical subjects and general liberal courses. The aim is to train, via historical study, a student to be independent, open-minded and critical, able to cope with the challenges of modern world.
