BA Liberal Studies

The Liberal Studies degree requires a broadbased liberal arts experience. Four of the five Liberal Studies emphases are designed to satisfy preteaching credential requirements. These emphases prepare students for passage of the subject matter examination that candidates must pass in order to receive a credential required to teach in grades K6 in the public schools. Because the Liberal Studies teacher preparation emphases prepare students for a state licensed credential, requirements may be changed by state mandate at any time.
