BA in Greek Studies

Graecistics deals with the written legacies that ancient Greece produced up to the end of ancient times. Greek history, art, philosophy as well as cultural and religious history are equally included in the examination and research of language and literature. The preliminary stages and the aftermath of the Greek language and literature are also taken into account. You will acquire basic knowledge in the field of classical studies and a related discipline, as well as thorough knowledge of Greek literature and the ability to read, understand and interpret Greek texts independently in critical engagement with secondary literature.
