In studying English literature, you will encounter the immense range of human experience as expressed across many historic periods and cultures, from Anglo-Saxon oral tradition through to contemporary writing in English from around the world. This program allows students to understand the ways in which language and literature inform and reflect various cultures, social bodies, and historical periods.
