The Monroe College Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree is a program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to earn their RN-AAS in 3 semesters. The program consists of proficient learning and requires a complete time commitment by the student to successfully meet all requirements. The nursing courses provide the basis for students to use critical thinking to apply increasingly complex knowledge, skills, technologies and client care activities into evidence-based nursing practice. This program builds on the first year and is integrated with concepts from the liberal arts and biological, physical, psychological, and social sciences.
