The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures provides instruction in the languages, literatures and cultures of Russia and Eastern Europe. An understanding of this part of the world is crucial in today s global culture.The Department offers two majors: Russian Language and Literature (RLL) is a departmental major; Russian and East European Studies (REES) is an interdisciplinary major.
